Welcome to Cascadia Elementary!
Dear Cascadia Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, we are glad you are here.
At Cascadia Elementary, we believe every child should feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. Our school is a community where students, families, and staff work together to support academic, social, and emotional growth. We are honored to partner with you this year.
Families are a child’s first teachers. The values learned at home—kindness, perseverance, responsibility, curiosity, and compassion—shape their success at school. We look forward to helping your child build confidence, discover strengths, grow and develop a love of learning.
Our Gryphon Expectations guide us each day: Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Kind. These values create a strong sense of belonging. Staff will teach and model them, and we encourage families to reinforce them at home.
This year, we are focused on three key goals:
First, building social-emotional skills so students become confident learners who take risks and grow from mistakes.
Second, strengthening number sense so students understand how math works through meaningful experiences.
Third, achieving our reading goal: every student reads at least one hour daily—30 minutes at school and 30 minutes at home.
Family involvement is essential. Whether volunteering, attending events, joining PTO, or staying connected with teachers, your support strengthens our community.
My door is always open. I welcome your ideas, questions, and feedback as we work together to support every child.
Thank you for being part of our Cascadia family. Together, we will create a school where every child belongs, grows, and thrives.
I look forward to all our Gryphons will accomplish this year.
With gratitude,
Dawn Christiana
Principal, Cascadia Elementary
Together, we grow and succeed.
